I bought this about a month ago from a guy that was getting divorced so I got a good deal as he immediately dropped his price significantly with a serious buyer in hand but, it also has a lot of unfinished things, things that needed sorted out because they don’t work correctly and things I just want to change. He wasn’t a Mopar guy but most of his work is very nice but none of the gauges work and the lights all need attention. The brakes work but are not up to par, the steering needs attention and the full Roadrunner livery is in store. The basics: 2016 5.7 hemi with a 2012 645RFE trans from a Ram with pretty much everything to run them from Bouchillon.

Your stance is slightly better looking in my opinion. He had dearched rear springs installed which lowers the rear but the front is near stock for ground clearance and the tire size is not optimum IMO but that part is functional for the time being.

That's ironic since I actually want mine to sit a little lower in the rear. I'm planning on a coilover setup to be able to adjust as needed. Nice find with the Hemi swap already done. I've priced it all out and it's not cheap.

It’s not, and he went one of the most expensive routes but it is already functional as opposed to a lot of projects that get stalled. It has Borla stainless exhaust all the way back and sounds great when you are in the throttle, but I will admit that at idle, it doesn’t make the impression that a big block or even my 6.1 426 hemi does.

What kind of brake setup does it have? I've read that modern hemis don't work well with vacuum boosters. Those that had issues have gone on to install hydro boost units with success, but again it's another expense if you're on a budget.

2 nice rides guys

always liked the 71-72 RR, GTX, Sport Satellite etc.

I like them even more resto-modded
The new modern drivetrain & lower stance, better brakes,
gearing & good suspension/handling components/good shocks/sway bars etc.,
nice wider wheels/wider/taller tires,
it/they both should be fun

It has an 8” dual booster with a Wilwood master cylinder of unknown bore diameter. I have a hydroboost system on another car that with 11”” Wilwood rotors and 4 piston calipers stops way better than i thought it would. I will likely go this route but lots of little things to sort out first.

He kept telling me it had a Scat Pack rearend to which I kept asking what he meant by that, turns out he meant Sure Grip . (Chevy Guy ) He also said it was 3.42’s which I was skeptical to be sure. All I’m sure of so far is an 8 3/4” with a basic disc brake conversion.

Well its either 3.23's (likely as they are pretty abundant) or 3.55's unless its some custom gearing of some kind.

Laid out the Roadrunner stripe, it wasn’t as bad as i thought it would be but it’s not applied yet. I centered it over the wheel wells like the experts recommended and ended up about 1 3/8” from the quarter window to keep the spacing of the top stripe to the side stripes consistent.

Yup, you're doing it the correct way.
My stripe install was similar - I got about an inch from the quarter window.

Yep, I measured all the way to the edge of the metal to the black stripe so by your picture, ours are almost exactly the same. The bottom of the stripe ended up 11.5 mm up from the body line that is above the wheel well. Just thought I’d share a starting reference for someone in the future

I guess I rushed, it took an hour start to finish, after laying everything out yesterday and making witness marks. Its probably one of my best decal jobs IMO. It is much easier than the center hood decal on a Charger. All my final measurements to match from side to side. I’m really happy with it and normally I give myself like a B for quality of work.

I swapped the Go Wing for a Gull Wing I had from another car and it looks so much better but the Go Wing was painted like a satin black and the Gull Wing is a natural flat black, which looks fine but doesn’t match the hood insert which is also painted satin black so it looks like I need to paint the Gull Wing.

I wouldn't worry about the hood and wing not matching unless it just bothered you. My hood insert is gloss black, while my stripes and wing are flat black. I've recognized that they don't match, but it hasn't bothered me enough to consider changing it.

Dumb question: where is your trunk lock key hole? That tape doesn't look big enough to hide it, but then again, maybe it is.

Nope, the previous owner wanted to be trick and installed an electric release, that doesn’t fit right and I just found a factory one I took off a 74 charger. That’s why there is tape on the edges of the trunk, I was fiddling with the one he installed trying to get it to latch correctly with the new trunk weatherstripping. Hopefully get that fixed next week

You can see the difference in a factory one and whatever one he found to use. His solution was several washers on the strike plate but his latch didn’t fully capture the strike plate so the trunk lid could move sideways slightly and come unlatched. He did install an emergency release cable because the battery is trunk mounted but I briefly looked at the factory latch and I think I can make this work on this latch too.
