I bought the Summit Starter for my 400 and when I tighten it down it sits on an angle. I think the starter is hitting the block as I tighten it the back of the starter pulls away from the block so it isn't sitting flat.

Any ideas how to resolve this issue?

McRobb starters require block clearance many times....not sure what you got from Summit...haven't seen it on a Power master (yet).

Can you reclock the nose cone.

I had to grind some off the nose support on the starter on my Charger.
It took several tries but it's been in there for over 20 years now.
