Modified tank??

Look like my tank has been modified . I didn't take apart and is this fir fuel injection? Or what. As well there is threaded 1/2 in hole beside sending unit? This should be plugged? I have all both the vent lines so going stock.

It was probably for either AN fittings (bottom picture) and or for an electric fuel pump sort of like a Holley blue pump or the like. The one by the OG sender is probably a drain. Never mind Doh just realized the tank was upside down. In that case could have been a return line. Just guessing there. Since the tanks are cheap enough I'd just replace it.

If you are going orginal, get a replacement tank. You may have to get some additional lines for venting.

I believe one tube is a return (on the sender). The bung??? I agree buy new and sell the modified tank. It looks well designed.

I run that type of tank sump in my road runner. The back 2 bungs are for fuel lines. Bottom/center back bung is simply a drain. I’m 95% sure the front bung (as mentioned) is for a fuel return line
