Would like the correct Nascar size motor for my project car that never was: 1972 Satellite/Superbird.

All you'd really need would be the crank. They fit a 340 block. You just missed one (by a couple of years) http://www.ebay.com/itm/340-Mopar-De-stroker-Crankshaft-Forged-Steel-/261028254805

If you could get a custom 2.96 stroke crank you'd still be looking for the custom rods and pistons for it as well.

The 5 liter Trans-Am engine used in the Cuda's and Challengers for T/A racing used a lot of custom parts. There's some discussion here http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=279054
