mopar convertible tops

Hi there, does anyone know how to adjust mopar b body convertible tops to sit lower in the top well? I am working on a 70 Roadrunner and the top sits really high when all the way down and when its down the top cover doesn't stay buttoned in.

When the top is halfway down the the frame scissors the padding. Pull the paddle so it allows the frame to stack better.
