Glad to join from South Carolina!! Became a Mopar man in a week after getting a 1964 330 Police car 413 interceptor, 1972 Duster 318 4 speed and a 1964 Polara Convertible 426 Street Wedge (I have a couple of Pontiac TAs now). Will be looking for advise and information from the group on restoring the 426 Street Wedge Convertible. I also acquired a very large collection of parts (30 years worth from the previous owner of the Polara that passed away last year) and will hopefully have some parts that people need for their restorations. Thanks!

Welcome to FBBO from Ontario. It is always nice to see another '64 Polara getting saved. Is it a 500? It is great that it is a 426 Street Wedge. It should have a front sway bar and 11" brakes. There is a lot of knowledge and help on this site. Having restored a '64 Polara 500 convertible myself, I have some knowledge and information on these cars.

Welcome! Nice collection you have going. Let me know if you find any 66 parts, coronet or Belvedere.

Thanks!! Its a factory 426 car. The gentleman I bought from (he passed away last year at 81 and family member sold it and the contents of his shop) restored Mopars and he bought it in 1998 from the original owner in California. The information he had was it is 1 of 1 black on black. It is not a 500 (440). I may pick your brain on getting done as I have been doing F body (70s Trans Ams) and am very new to Mopar. I got 13 pick up truck loads of parts and a 18' x 8' enclosed trailer full that they sold me when I bought the car. I elicited some help from two Mopar guys. I have engines, 440/400/360/340/318 poly, 727 trans, 4 speed trans, 426 Hemi pistons, dana 60 rear ends, doors & hoods, bumpers with brackets, and much more

Greetings from northern Michigan.

Sorry to hear about the gent that passed away leaving his collection to be sold off but what a great find, cars and all.

Thanks - I certainly will. I'm overwhelmed with the parts - not being a knowledgeable Mopar person but this forum will be a great help and I can hopefully get parts that are any good too people that need them
