My parents purchased a new 1962 Chrysler New Yorker Station Wagon with what I believe was equipped with the 413 V-8 they called the "Firepower 340".

Yes, they had 2 different 413 ratings that year. 340 for the 4 bbl. and 380 for the dual quad. And ?

I grew up riding in a 62 Chrysler wagon. Ours was a Newport with the 361.
