Does anyone know how to figure specs on a Moto home 440 ? Cam specs, valve size, pistons, compression ratios, etc short of stripping it down…..

The 440 motor home engines are low compression have short duration cams. There built for low end torque needed to move the weight of the vehicle. Specifications will vary somewhat based on the brand motorhome it was pulled from. 440'

What all are you wanting to do with it? Like mentioned, short duration cam and low compression. You can check to see what your cranking PSI is to see what kind of condition it's in. If you have a low cylinder, you can squirt some oil into the plug hole to see if it changes. If it doesn't, most likely a valve issue. If it does, mostly likely a ring issue.....

And I found the thread where you say what you plan to do with it.....and does that MH engine have the high mount water pump on it? It'll have water ports going to the heads too.....

Get the block casting # and date # and use an internet search engine.

If it’s a stock motor home motor the cam us a broomstick, the valves are 2.08 1.74, and compression is super low.
