Plugging along on the rebuilt after finding 2 bent pushrods. It was pretty yucky in there too. All cleaned up now and mostly back together, just waiting on new radiator & hoses. I just received the dual fuel line for 750 double pumper. That means Mr. Car Buretor can get installed. It is coming together slowly, but that's ok with me.

How did you bend the push rods? Motor looks good though..

Must have had a couple bad valve guides... Just a thought.

That's an extreme bent push rod. Usually you have to run them on a flat source to see the bend, but I hope you figure out what caused that. I have a Duster 318 that ran bad and I had several bent push rods but not that severe as yours. Previous owner had replaced timing chain but I guess he never looked at the push rods.

2 & 8 both had a stuck valve. Contrary to what I was told, this motor could not have ever run. It was most likely me who bent the rods trying to get it to start.
