Mounting fan clutch. Washers, lock washers or bolt only?

New install of clutch fan. Do I use any washers of any kind to mount to water pump?

Hello. I like to use at least washers ( I don't like tightening up on castings. As far as the locks. I think mine has them. Good luck.

X2,3,4... on the lock washers. I also put a drop-small-of blue Loctite(TM) on the bolt threads. Like many cats here,I've seen fans fly. Sometimes-hell,most times-it ain't pretty.

I use split lock washers and make sure parts are properly seated. Never had an issue.
