Moving to Texas

Finished wiring the lights today. My neighbor Brian, he helped me run power to the shop and I asked him to stop by today cause I was having trouble wiring 3 runs to 1 outlet. He came over and showed me the correct way (my way would’ve worked but not a nice looking as his way). So he helped me with one side and showed me how to wire the switch (just on/off).

He stayed the 2 hours while I finished that side and when I flipped the switch, bingo, lights! I thanked him for helping, he’s a really nice guy. I look forward to returning the favor.

It took me 5 hours to finish the other side (4 lights) but they are done. Here’s the results…….

Update…….

Monday I get a text from my sons van driver (special needs) asking if our house is still for sale as she has some friends wanting to move into the area. I forward our realtor’s info to her (I told our realtor that we would have her sell the house when we brought it back on the market and I’m keeping my word).

Things moved quickly as they are already pre-approved and made an offer before seeing the house. The buyers then asked to see the house on Wednesday and loved it!

Since we accepted the offer at a lower price, they will pay for all inspections and I will pay for the septic tank to be pumped.

We are looking at 2 new builds in Weatherford, they will be ready in 45 days, exactly when escrow closes on the Commiefornia house. Should work out just fine.

So after all the waiting, it’s finally happening, can’t wait to be a Texan!!
Congrats, did you get your cowboy hat and boots yet?

Yup, got the **** kickers and a Stetson.

Pointy toed Cricket stompers. That sure looks like a nice setup you have. Reciprocating the favor is where some people fail. You have scruples and manners. Way to go.

Well I’m done wiring. Have outlets on both sides and near the front of the shop. I put some older led straight tube lights up in a couple dead spots, not sure if I like them, may buy some more UFO High Bay led lights.

I built a couple shelves, hard to believe 90% of all this crap fit into a 2 car garage! My shop isn’t the biggest, but it’ll do for my needs. Next will be a carport in front of the shop.

Bought a cement mixer cause I’m tired of mixing it in a wheel barrow. Got it off CL for a good price. I call it…..Sir Mix Alot! And I need more space for storage so I’m building a shed.
