Reminds of the ricers around here... sinking their paychecks into modding the crap out of the looks of a plain ole' POS import and trying to pass it off as being part of the Japanese street racing thing. I spent a lot of time in Japan, and went to a lot of street racing events, and you don't see a lot of crappy worn out Jap cars with a bunch of crap done to them. First off, Japan disencentiveizes even having older cars by making it cost next to nothing to register a new car and then have the costs go up in leaps and bounds for every year of a car's life. The races I saw all drove the newest and best of what was available and would laugh as much as we do at someone doing this to their car.
