This was my first car, bought when I was 16 yrs old which is 36 years ago. I borrowed the money from my Mom (come to think of it I still owe her that lol). Lots of work done this year. Rebuilt the 440, 10.5:1, Edelbrock e-street heads, TTi 1.78 headers, Hughes cam-1.5 rockers-lifters, Eagle rods & forged pistons, moly rings, rebuilt both the 727 & 3000 stall, arp bolts throughout, Strange driveshaft, 3.23, plus a few more goodies. Engine dyno at 485hp, 480 torque. New paint, electrical straightened up, engine bay painted. Finally on the road a couple days ago.
nice sounds like it runs good a good friend of mine has a 77 it is a great car it also runs 12.80s at the track
The 75 I bought when I was 18, 38 yrs ago, is rusting away quietly behind my house. Had 100k on it when I bought it, personally added another 200k while it was my daily driver for maybe 15 yrs. Still has the original 360 and yeah, it's been rebuilt. Still running strong when I parked it about 10 yrs ago and as I recall it was something about not wanting to put money in it for new exhaust and a few other pieces when the usual tail rot started getting close to the frame rails. Well that and had 3 others and dropping 10k at the body shop in 2008 didn't seem like a good idea. At this point I doubt it will ever see the road again but I still can't bring myself to steal the motor for my RamCharger. Also haven't figured out what to do with all the NOS metal and trim I rounded up for it. Apparently the answer here is buy more lottery tickets.
p.s.: while rummaging around my spares recently I did find the stash of NOS rocker moulding trim clips I bought for it. If the 3d printed ones turn out to be a fail, maybe but it would have to be a package with the NOS rocker trim pieces.
