My '69 Super Bee project

Spent most of the last couple days messing with the grille! starting to come close. Can someone give me a measurement on the location of the hood latch panel? So I can make the holes in the fenders. Maybe from the firewall straight down the edge of the fender to the outer edge of the panel?

Thanks,Sheldon. IMG-20131019-00033.jpgIMG-20131019-00034.jpg

Its looking good, i wish i could help with the measurement but i have nothing here that match's.. keep up the good work, its showing!

No progress with the Bee,I'm also building a '71 Dart and doing the bodywork on it now.I want to get that out of the way on both cars! I did receive my wheels, and put one on for a visual! IMG-20131206-00119.jpgIMG-20131206-00120.jpgIMG-20131206-00122.jpg

"Holy crap" you've gotta tell me what kind of wheels those are "they look freakin awesome on there". I'm still undecided on the wheels I'm gonna go with but was looking at a set allot like those "please tell me they are affordable". Love to help with your measurement but mine is a Charger. Your car looks great

Thanks, they are Rushforth's.Jason is one awesome guy,my next set of wheels will come from him! Also got the shockwaves, and all the air stuff, and the tube front, with wilwood's.Just trying to get through the bodywork,I did it as a side job for 15 years, but I'm so freakin' slow at it! lol

Thanks, I'll look into them. I know what you mean about slow, people ask me to do a car and always refuse "to damn slow at it".

Those wheels look killer on the Bee! There going to be sweet with the rubber on them.. Good luck on the Dart!

Hey Travis, sorry I didn't realize you replied to this post. It is hp manifolds for a 440 that I am looking for. I'm in torbay, drop down anytime if you want.

I had a set of those, years ago....gave them away.Try the WTB section?

Well; after I posted the wrong info on the trunk lid emblem location,I couldn't wait to check out my lid for other holes. Sure enough, they were just filled over. A big thank you to Lionized and Mopars & Missiles for setting me straight. I've owned this car for over 25 years and would have painted it not knowing the difference. Thank goodness it's not painted yet! IMG-20140613-00267.jpg The top hole is clearly higher than the incorrect holes on the right.

Good catch!! I would most likely be the one who wouldn't catch it lol... All the work, a break now and then is just this side of awesome!! :)

Thanks Ron,appreciate that! It's a daunting task to have to drill holes in the body, unfortunately I have a couple to cover up. I put the emblem in the correct holes and it looks good, the bottom of the tires are just below flush with the lip of the lid. I found a couple of great pics on the a12 registry.

That is one Killer Bee, I love the 69, especially the back end and tail lights.

Keep up the good work.

Nice!

Hey Chargin, What size are those rated X's? I have actually been looking at those a while. It looks like you got the right size and spacing. Just curious

Looking good!

The rear's are 20x15 with 4.5 backspace,I have 19x 8's for the front. They will also fit my Charger,so I'm in limbo as to what car they will end up on. Jason is great to deal with, when you call Rushforth he answers the phone.

Nothing to report with the Bee,I hope to get back at it next week...the engine bay is next to prep. However I did get my new wheels,I ordered it in February. The color is "black gold",it looks a awful lot like '71 tawny gold in the sun!IMG-20140628-00282.jpgIMG-20140628-00283.jpg

I can imagine what that looks like in person (especially in the sun), That is NICE!!

I have the grille fitting much better. The hood is a disaster! Too wide in the front, and when the body lines on the fenders line up with the ones on the hood, the hood is about a inch and a half too short! LOL. I got this hood from U S bodysourse about 15 years ago....I think I'm going to look for a new one. Anyone have a hood from AAR? How's the quality? I also welded the wrong holes in the trunk lid!
