My '69 Super Bee project

Hood is done and latching,I'm going on the sled! IMG-20150320-00624.jpgIMG-20150317-00620.jpg

Thanks Prop,I just got back. I put 80 miles on the cat today, and it's probably the last run for this year. Calling for rain and plus temps in the forecast. So I rang it out pretty hard today! I hope you get some rain to get the streets cleaned off and get the Rr for a blast!

Hey thanks! Good to hear you got one final run on the sled. Looks like a nice machine! My last ride was a couple weeks ago... 50-60 degree temps for a week and most of the snow is long gone. Bring on the rain & Spring!

Interior panels sprayed. Chrysler 300 stone white 2,is the color. I have a lot of masking to do now!IMG-20150324-00627.jpgIMG-20150324-00625.jpg

Spent the day taping,I'll be mounting the gas tank and battery box next!IMG-20150327-00633.jpgIMG-20150327-00636.jpgIMG-20150327-00631.jpg

Looking good Sheldon. Won't be long before your ready for paint! Are you going to put the engine in before or after paint?

Thanks Dean; The engine will be going in after paint. I'll be doing a clean up and paint both cars at the same time. Just have to mock up a few more things then it's paint time. Pretty much put the whole car together after paint.

That is going to be one sweet ride when you get done. How are you going to find time to drive them all with the short summers? I started another project over Xmas as well. Found a 79 Little Red Express and another 79 D150 Stepside that is real clean. Still had original paint and no rust but frame was bent in a fender Bender. Plan to make a little Red with a 400 4 speed. Will probably take a while but it keeps me busy when i'm not working. I have a tread on the "fortrucksonly" site under the Dodge pre 1981 forum called 1979 Little Red Express Project.

Hey Ted,the weather really changed here about 4 or 5 years ago. Real nice summers, all kinds of records set in the last couple years, lets hope it continues. The pothole shot roads...now that's another story. Good luck on the truck project,I'll go over and take a look. What did you ever do with the Cuda? The last time I seen that was when I did the bit of paint work on it?

Hey Sheldon, The Cuda is actually in Olso Norway. Drove it into a container at the dockyard and haven't seen it since. I did find a couple of pictures from a Norwegian web site of the car at a Car show in Oslo. Should never have sold it but you know how that goes. I'm still trying to finish the Roadrunner but like all projects they never seem to be finished. I was going to wait to get the truck started until i built my Garage but once you get an idea , its hard to get it out of your head so started stripping both trucks, bagging and Tagging parts and plan to build my garage this spring. You look like you are keeping busy with 2 projects going at the same time. Are you planning to get one on the road this year or is it a ways down the road?

It won't be this year Ted,I really don't have a timeline. I've done that for other people and that sucks the fun out of it fast! Joe is going to do the wiring for me,other than that I'm doing everything myself. Really just trying to have fun with it and build them exactly how I want them. Then it's Charger time!

I finished up the fab work in the trunk. I'm going to tig 4 mounting tabs on the gas tank instead of the straps. Also welded in the battery box. Came from Bear's..a nice piece.IMG-20150328-00637.jpgIMG-20150328-00640.jpgIMG-20150329-00641.jpgIMG-20150329-00643.jpg

I received my seat belt set from Bill Edwards today, and all I can say is "WOW"! They sure are nice,he will even take your tag and stitch it into the belt. Great guy to deal with too! IMG-20150401-00653.jpgIMG-20150401-00655.jpg

Not a good day,was painting the jambs,i had some white base mixed with base maker I used as a value shade. Mixed the color with thiner's because I was out of base maker, was too harsh and caused it to lift! I don't have any pics because I ran away!

Thanks for letting me know about the belts,I'll be getting a set for the Charger! I'll have the paint re done this week, thought it was going to happen before I sprayed it....and sure enough! Are you getting the Rr stripped?

Big mistake on my part, with the paint. I'm going to have to strip it!
