What would have been the factory specs for the radiator on a 1973 Charger, 440, 4 speed, and A/C. Is it a 2, 3, or 4 core? 22" or 26"? The bottom outlet is going to be on the right side. But it looks like the top inlet could be left, center, or right?

The radiator that's in there now is from a '77 Cordoba. I'm looking to buy a replacement and need this info to make the correct choice.

Thanks

Curt

Not 100% with the 440, but the 400 2bbl and 4bbl with AC, take a 28 inch radiator from factory. I would assume that the 440 would be the same.

I've never seen a factory 73/74 440 4 speed. .you must be putting a 4 speed in? My 74 400 4 speed has the inlet and outlet both on the passenger side. .its the factory radiator I had restored. .its a 28 inch

You're correct. It was originally a 400/4 sp and someone converted it to a 440 along the way.

The Classic Industries catalog doesn't even list a 28".

I have a 73 400, non A/C, 4 speed car that a PO had installed a 440. It currently has a Mopar 2 core rad. installed, any way to tell if that is the original or like Curt, should we just purchase the largest we can find for a 440 replacement. 400s, what core was yours....

I have the 73 340. It has the 26 rad. Dadsbee is correct above.

My '73 Charger with the 440 has a 28 inch radiator but its only 2 rows wide and I believe it should be 3 rows as the car has air-conditioning. It's not the original radiator. Not having any luck finding a 28 inch, three row radiator. I will be calling Glen Ray Radiators, but they only list 26 inch cores on their website. Am I correct in believing it should be 3 rows wide? My Parts Book say the radiator part number for the Charger w/440 is 3673953 but haven't found any thing online for it.
