I’m going to be buying new tires for my 64 Fury, there are 215/65/15 on the front and 225/60/15 on the rear. There are BF Goodrich on it now but they are cracked between the tread and are from 2003. I’m not looking for redline or more white lettered tires but I do want a good ride and quiet…..
Ideas??

Cooper cobra has more of block tread and are little more quiet. I think you’ll have to go 235 60’s on the rear though as I don’t think they make 225 60’s. This would also make them both approximately the same overall diameter. Right now your rears are close to a 1/2” shorter than the fronts

I've been running Cooper Cobra's as well with no complaints.

Car looks nice!
There aren't a lot of choices for a 15" wheel anymore.

If you've got to have those exact sizes again, the BFG is the only game in town - I guess you knew that
already though eh?
If you're willing to go to a 235/60/15 rear, the Coopers come in to play.
Those would be less than a half inch wider and even less than that taller.

I run the Copper Cobra Radial GT tires on my daily drivers. There is the key, driven cars. Doing the “Hot Rod” things is fine with them if you understand there a passenger car tire. There not up for speed contests or heavy cornering etc…. There a drivers tire. Not a SCCA tire, not a back alley racer tire. I found them very good on my driving cars. Be it on the Hwy interstate traveling or commuting 50 miles into work, they are a fine tire.

I can deal with the size difference and have the room. I may just run them white letters in which in my opinion would give it a more stock look considering the year of the car.

Just an FYI. A lot of people don't know that Cooper also makes the Mickey Thompson street tires. The Mickey Thompson ST tire has a similar tread pattern to the Cobra tire but with RWL. The Mickey Thompson tires in the INDY Profile came out years before the BFG and are more period correct.

I would just run it with black walls out.
But it's really whatever you want Bob.

I said "more" period correct. Everybody puts BFG T/A radials on everything thinking they were available back then. Weren't available in many sizes until the mid seventies. Mickey Thompsons came out in the mid sixties. First ones were not DOT approved (actual racing tires) but many used them anyway because of the low profiles that were not readily available from anyone else yet.
