have a 70 Charger RT 440 6pack 4 speed Dana 60 . What type of headers would fit without any Mods or Trimming ? Hear Dougs are nice . I have no idea looking for A lil Performance and good sound But mainly easy Fit .
Also anyone bought one of
The mopar Approved Wood wheels From classic Industries really want to change to Wood wheel ?
Thanks a lot !!

My opinion is you should keep a car like that 100% stock like it's prominonce deserves.

But if you must then put a nice ceramic coated dougs on there. Fit like a glove.

I’ve never had them but it seems like most people on this site prefer TTIs. And the main reason is because of the fitment. Apparently they only make for Mopar and fit like a glove. Very expensive though. Dieseldazzle is recommending Doug’s -I’m sure he’s had experience with them and they’re more reasonably priced. I have Hooker Super Comps and although I didn’t have to do any mods to get them in -they were no picnic. Others will chime in and you can do your shopping on price. I doubt you could go wrong with either Doug’s or TTIs. Good luck.

No. Have your correct steering wheel restored on a car like yours.

Ok where would I find someone who can do that ? I live in Orange County California .

Research and maybe join CPW. Chrysler Performance West. Good club in your area. Get local references.

I've got the TTI's. Ceramic. Lighter, cooler. Easy 100 degree lower under-hood temps than stock. Use a FBBO vendor if you get them.

This is my wreck. I drive it a lot so it has some modifications like the Momo steering wheel, for ergo comfort. The original sport wheel lives at the Bar.

I live in Aliso Viejo -not far from you. There’s a shop in Lake Forest that knows Mopars does Restoration and repair work. Ask for Brian or Cody.

Part of my reply accidentally was deleted. The shop name is OC Cars in Lake Forest. You can reach them at 949-466-9889. Ask for Brian or Cody.

As stated, you car is in the group of "leave it stock".

Actually, YOUR car is in the group of "It's YOUR car!", do whatever you want with it. If you want a wood wheel, DO IT! If you want headers, DO IT! BTW, I've had TTI and currently have Doug's ceramic coated. IMO, Doug's have better spark plug access and are just as good as far as quality. All header installations will require a visit to the muffler shop to connect the rest of the exhaust system. The key to making modifications is to keep all the stock components so that they are available to any future potential buyers who are interested in originality.
You asked a couple of simple questions and get other folks' opinions on what they would do if they had bought your car...

Colorado Dave is right it's your car so what you want but if you ask our opinions we sure ain't afraid to share em

Hey 70 Brother.. I have (Ruined) my 70.. But then again I use to daily drive my Charger as a Teenager and even it took it on a few long trips.. So here are my opinions..

1) Headers are cool, they make your Mopar sound even better, but Changing Plugs or Starter is a PAIN.. Loss of ground clearance is also a Problem.. I had cheap Blackjacks in my youth, never cheap crap again.. I bought Doug's this time around (Thick flange, bead at gasket and overall good construction) plus the stocks weren't going to work my engine..

2) Smaller thicker steering wheel, would make driving these beasts more tolerable..

Just save all the old parts..

But again,, your car do with it what you will..
