I think over the last 25 years there are few bolts on a 1972 Roadrunner that I haven't touched at least once. I really enjoy turning on the garage stereo, popping a nice cold beer after a long day at work and spinning some wrenches. I started my latest upgrade last week and I have the entire front suspension out of my GTX including the dirty nasty K Member. the parts are heading out to be cleaned and powder coated and she should be back on the road in about a week. Suspension, no problem,.... brakes no problem....electrical,,that's my favorite, no problem.
Now for the problem, my GTX has the original 440 in it and based on the looks of the engine, casting numbers, nasty K Member I just removed I think the original engine has never been removed. I lifted the engine , removed the K member and then sat the engine on some blocks. I picked up a well documents 440 Block, heads, reconditioned crank, new pistons and new cam. I have all the specs and receipts but I have no idea what I have or what I need to do to maximize what I have. The previous owner was going to put it in a Ram charger truck and he didn't have the specs on the crank. I need to find someone in the Atlanta / North Georgia that would help me finish the engine. I'm more than willing to pay a fair price and I'm a firm believe that you get what you pay for so I need a good reference to someone who could help with the project.
