USS West Virginia Pearl Harbor Attack - Naval History and Heritage Command, 97398-3.jpg

Thank you for your post so we can remember those who perished at Pearl Harbor that fateful day.

The day is also sometimes referred to as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day or Pearl Harbor Day.

HOW TO OBSERVE PEARL HARBOR REMEMBRANCE DAY

Organizations across the country honor the memory of Pearl Harbor with tributes; survivors share their stories and join in reunions. Traditionally the Flag of the United States is flown at half-staff until sunset to honor those who lost their lives serving this nation at Pearl Harbor.

Today, Pearl Harbor offers several sites in memory of those who served during the bombing. The Pearl Harbor National Memorial dedicates sites in memory of the crews lost on December 7th, 1941. For many of the crew of the USS Utah, USS Arizona, and USS Oklahoma, Pearl Harbor is their final resting place. The memorials serve as a place of honor to those service members lost during the attack.

Never forget this horrific day and all the service men who paid the ultimate sacrifice because of it indeed, may they Rest In Peace.

Idk exactly, but I just saw “ midway” on Netflix yesterday. It was the one from a couple years back with woody Harrelson , not the original but quite good.

Never forget our lost veterans, especially in an unprovoked attack like that!

Half Staff until Sunset in Honor.
Absolutely Dennis!!! Having spent many times in Ohau during my AF career, whenever I transited there and on this date, I would make the trip to the Arizona Memorial for its observance. The boat ride over is very serene and peaceful as we get closer to the Arizona Battleship itself. She is still shedding her tears of oil to this day as 400-plus Sailors and Marines are entombed in her bowls. The wall of names is so much like any wall of names that is still the same today as upon that date. If you have never been to the Hawaiian Islands and Ohau, then you owe it to yourself to try and visit there. Remembrance always...Slow Hand Salute!!! :praying::praying::praying::usflag::usflag::usflag:cr8crshr/Bill

Could not agree more. My wife and I been there twice, and the experience is truly humbling.
