I know everyone poo poo's after market sender's but, trying to find a 55+ year old gauge that's still properly calibrated is next to impossible.
When you buy an RTE ivr, he sends you a resistor so you can check your gauge, it's amazing how few test accurate!
Anyway, I got the looking at a '65 dash, and where the clock would go looked like the perfect place for a new, round gauge.
I made a tube out of a 2" ex. pipe, slit it length wise, put a hose clamp to tighten it and welded a couple tabs on to mount it in the factory holes where the blank or the clock mounts and I think came out perfect, one would have to look long and hard to even notice it, AND it works perfect!
