Going to have my 70 RR painted. I am going to replace all the door & truck seals. Also the window whiskers & front windshield gasket. Who has the best replacement products for those items??

    Chuck

    Hey Chuck,
I got my windshield rubber and clips from Restoration Parts & Materials (Richard is 69bfan on this site). Window felts from Detroit Muscle Technologies, and I picked up new door rubber from R.E.M. at Nationals. All of it worked out really well, and Richard is a great guy to work with!

I just bought one but have no advice. Just about everyone recommends Precision windshield gaskets!
I bought mine at Jegg's for a decent price. Buy the trunk seal from Detroit Muscle Technologies. They
have a bit of info on their site about using other seals can make the deck lid hard to close. I saw that
after I put another one on and had to remove it and put theirs on. Happy now!

The best bet for the windshield gasket is a Precision WCRD 715. I would suggest reusing the original door, roof rail and vent window seals if they are not torn. The factory pieces fit so much better than any of the reproductions. If you should need to replace these pieces, the best bang for your buck will be the Metro door and roof rail seals. Precision offers the best fitting vent window gasket if you should replace those pieces. For the quarter glass seals, I prefer the Soff Seal brand. On the window felts, we produce the Top Catwhiskers which are the most correct felts available.

If the car is being completely disassembled, there is a wide selection of gaskets and seals that you will need to consider replacing. Some can be reused, while others simply come apart through years of service.

Sorry about "Perfection" in stead of "Precision" in my last post! You'll get old some day too!
                Ha!
