Hi Pops. I have a 67 satellite 383 4 speed car. I too love the 66-67 B bodies. I happen to have a console tach. Let me know if you are interested.

Did you balance the assembly to push beyond 6k? 4.10 seems low for those 25" tires. I'm currently shopping for a diff for mine, thinking of going 3.23 or 3.31 (the smallblock kit it's running on, with the 1⅜" pinion, is 2.91). I was doing some basic calculations and without doing a pretty intense build to keep the valve float/etc under control beyond 6k, it seems like even 3.55 would be pretty short.

According to the formulae, 85mph would require over 4k RPM with 3.55s and the theoretical top end is something like 100mph flat on 4.10:1 gears with a stock 440 build. I was looking at 3.31:1 to step down a notch from the stock GTX 3.23:1 for a little extra umph, but still be able to maintain a decent highway speed (I daily-drive mine, so not winding out to make 75mph is pretty important).
