Hi Guys; I’m a Newbie to the site but not to Mopars. Theybrought home from the hospital in 1951 in a 1947 Dodge flathead six and FluidDrive. I learned to drive in a ’59 Plymouth Sport Suburban with the GoldenCommando, TF and 3.31 Suregrip. Yes, my parents let a 16 year old loose on thepublic roads with 305 horsepower! I’ve owned and driven A bodies, B bodies, Cbodies and, yes, Y bodies! Nuthin’ like pushin’ a ’65 Imperial through thecorners and curves or for that matter a ’77 Newport with a 400! So when Ibought MAX the man asked me how I knew he was a factory car I pointed out allthe differences from the “normal” B bodies that I’d had. He then told me thedata plate showed he was real. MAX is a 1963 Sport Fury Hardtop Originally 11½:1 Torqueflite car. Now built to 13 ½:1, locked out TF, 4.88 gears, fenderwellheaders, Milodon 8 quart pan, 3705 carbs, 300J distributer and battery in thetrunk. Charlie

You Asked for Pictures

You asked, we comply. The license plate frame I saw on the back of a Grand national! The last picture is the second owner in 1976. I've had the car since 1985. He hasn't run since 1991. But we are working on it.

Welcome to the site! What a beautiful piece of history you have there! Sweet car!

Welcome to FBBO Charlie. That is a beautiful Maxie survivor. I love the fact that it hasn't been restored. I would get it running, clean it up a little and drive the hell out of it.

welcome to FBBO

sounds like a cool ride
