I have watched a few good movies lately since the TV channels have just about nothing but re-runs - even all the good re-run shows like Gold Rush, Wheeler Dealers and the Kilcher family in Alaska are getting thin on the ground.

Anyway -

1. Brad Pitt in the movie 'Bullet Train' is hilarious as a spy/assassin comedy - set in Japan mostly on board the high-speed bullet train. Highly recommended. Typical fast-paced action with lots of comical scenes and cartoonish images smattered around. Plenty of blood & guts action without being overly gory.

2. Jason Statham and Hugh Grant in 'Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre' - another action-packed comical spy movie directed by the legend Guy Ritchie. Very reminiscent of the style in Snatch....this story line seems hard to follow, but there are lots of moments to keep the plot together. Plenty of shooting and fighting.....and a Mustang that goes fast .....lol

3. Jason Statham again with Melissa McCarthy in 'Spy' - just full of gags from start to finish - again plenty of action and not over the top graphically with the violence.

4. Liam Neeson in 'Cold Pursuit' - yet another comical thriller of a typical Neeson film where people are slaughtered left, right & centre, but this is done with such hilarity, that it seems quite normal. Plenty of cartoonish graphics here as well. Awesome movie set in a high-class Colorado ski resort town.

I highly recommend all three of the above. I have also been told the 'Beekeeper' and 'Beekeeper 2' are well worth watching.

I saw all these on Netflix - your area might have different results.

OK...I watched "The Beekeeper" a couple of weeks ago....awesome movie.

It is a must watch if you like Jason Statham movies.

I stumbled across this one, and it’s not my usual thing but I ended up digging it.

I'm torn on that one.....really like Keanu.... but I absolutely loathe Seth Rogan....the man with a four-word vocabulary.

Watched Clint Eastwood in a movie last week.... "The Mule" - got some hideous reviews from critics, but when you think about it - that's their job to be critical.
I enjoyed it enough to want to re-watch again soon. Based on a story written about a true account of an old man running for the Cartel.

I think the saving grace is it’s not a Seth Rogan movie in that he’s prominent but still not the star of the movie.
