One year ago, I made a post about a strange noise that was coming from the engine bay.

I got some good replies, but I thought that it was something internal, and I didn't try other things.

I was switching jobs, plus having kids, and winter and I didn't touch the car until a few weeks ago.

last Saturday I pulled the engine and started disassembling it.

I just removed the oil pan, and it seem pretty good inside. It is 1am here, so only a fast visual check and rocking things with the fingers.

I was just wondering if the noise could be because of the clutch which didn't look that good, post is here: a833 removal

or something like a bad plug, etc.

you should be able to hear the tick here:

it is 1 am in here, I'm just in bed wondering what that could have been, and if I was an idiot removing the engine without the need.

Possible a worn water pump bearing. See if the water pump shaft has any play.
