Yep missed buying a 64 polara roller by a week, they cut it up to make it a gasser. :BangHead:

I remember that car from magazine articles feom many many years ago.
I remember There was a a yellow version as well that was from the same time period.

You do see some crazy stuff out there. I have seen that car across every site as I was honing in on my GTX. I wonder if that thing will ever sell and what kind of person it would take to buy it.

A couple of years ago, my father, son, daughter and I did the Hot Rod Power Tour. Me in my 18 Challenger and father in his 07 Charger. We came across this in the parking lot one day. Not my cup of tea.

Man, what people used to do to their cars!! I was around during those days, and some of what was out there was, well...
It's funny though, how a '55 Chevy gasser done some what the same way can look so cool.
Thanks again for another great photo Pops.

I've been seeing that blue early 70's lowrider 3 tone & lace paint scheme
of a 69 nose-bleeder/gasser look RR, 4 speed
for quite a few years
I don't remember where I 1st saw it
2,222 miles seems way low, must be a trailer queen

not sure about that price,
it's been around for a long time
for sale a few times IIRC too
but;
nowhere near that $52,000 # thou, that I can remember anyway

must be hell on u-joints

here's an older shot of it I had saved, for some strange reason

I did a 67 Coronet in the mid 70's but didn't alter the body or the chassis. The front end was lowered as far as it would go and the rear was air shocked up as far as it would go. Crazy looking but drove like sheet....

I don't know, the more I look the more it seems to be getting, kind of cool?
I guess it's reminding me of my Hot Wheels and and all the wild model cars I built
when I was a kid.
