Maybe let the jack down part way to apply a little pressure, so they can’t slither out from under, then tie up the feet and legs. Start the engine and let the exhaust warm up a bit, then cool them off with the garden hose.

Coincidence, I read the post early this morning. Later, I took some stuff to the drop off for a local charity I support that feeds homeless and battered women, as well as the usual winos, etc. The guy that help me unload, told me that their box truck that is used to pick up big donations, is always parked behind the building. Last night it was hit and both converters were stolen. He said the local muffler shop, which is also the one I use, quoted $1000 to replace the convertors. I wish the damn thief in this case had used a cheap and defective jack.....

Typical scrap thief..... do a thousand dollars damage to get the price of a couple burgers, fries, and a coke (oops, Pepsi) from a scrapyard. Despicable.
