Hi fellas,
Yesterday I was sorting through the wiring harness for my 65 when I found that the wiper switch has a terminal to feed power to the back up lamps. Why do you suppose the engineer decided that was logical idea?

I've seen a few things like that.

Head scratchers, for sure.

It's not only a convenient place to tap in due to it's location, it's fused fairly high and how often do you back up with the wipers on ( as opposed to other activities that create high electrical draw). It also simplifies the running of wire regardless of weather you have a console or column switch for backup lights.
