I am sure one of you told me how to test my Oil Pressure gauge before putting the dash back in but I can't find it anywhere.

I have the dash out and the guy that owned it before me has a separate oil pressure gauge installed, I want to get the old one working again but I am not sure where to start in undoing his work, any help appreciated.

Momentarily ground the grey wire
Nothing happened when I ground it so I presume that means it's shot and no point replacing the sensor? Must be why previous owner installed a mechanical gauge.

Alex you're probably right, but it could be bad connection(s) in back of dash also.

You also need to make sure you have voltage feeding the other terminal on the gage. Then ground the gray wire. I'm not sure what the volt reading on the feed should be on your car.
