I'm swapping a 6.4 hemi into my 70 satellite with the stock V8 k member. I know you need to use a center sump oil pan to get it to clear the k member but I was wondering how much interference there is with the stock front sump pan on the new hemi. Is it close enough that you can just notch the K member or do you really have to get the center sump pan?

Notch the k! Just kidding, don’t do that. The front sump is too big and if you did notch the k, I don’t think you could get enough structure back in it to be safe for the street.

I’d spend $$$ and get the correct pan and pick up tube.

Front sump will not work the K member would need to be about an inch thick.
