I was doing my usual CL search the other day, and came upon an ad for a shiny orange 69 RR real close to where I live. It's a bit out of my price range and I don't really need another project, but I am itchin real bad to drive something old, so I decided to check it out.

Anyway it's a real RM23 car, but it has a ton of plusses and minuses.

Factory 383 auto floor shift drum brake car.
No fender tag

The good and the bad-

Sweet running fresh 383- no build specs available
Dana 60- no gear info
Nice Weldwheels
Nice black bucket seats- but from an Aspen/Volare
Satellite a/c dash with 120 speedo on non a/c car
Current owner swapped in a 4 speed and pistol grip
Has fiberglass 6 bbl hood
MSD ignition and electric fan
Offy intake and well tuned carb
Locally done ceramic coating on headers (gave shop info)
New bumpers
Nice, clean fresh paint in Vitamin C orange under the hood
Fair to poor fresh shiny paint on the body in Hemi orange (?)
Poorly done quarter patches around wheel wells and lower quarters-
"to cover where big tires were used for racing"
Doors poorly patched in corners

Asking 11K but told me 9.

Other t

Sounds pretty close to mine with the auto and not rebut 383 I paid 10k what's the link?

Pics.

The side shot makes it look better than it is.
About 4 inches all around the wheels is dough and they didn't even sand the arch opening. All the way from the wheel to the back bumper has been fixed with what looks like just sheet metal over the old. Trunk floor is new, though.
Whatever.

Interestingly, they got the gentle curve of the horizontal plane of the quarter dead on.

Corners of the back glass look like they have been done too, but that looks like a decent job.

Maybe two different body guys.

Engine compartment actually looks better in person.
