Ok, But How About Quieter Muffler Recommendations?

Looking at video clips for "sound" on a phone or a computer with tiny speakers is like buying a wife through a mail order bride service.
I wish you luck but you'd be MUCH better off asking people at car shows and hearing their cars in person.
STOP IT my sides hurt
Lmao

Always so much postiveity.

I am in fact going off a recommendation, hence this thread. The video clip is just confirmation.

Pick a triple pass muffler with the tube size you want, and then use the longest version that will fit under the car.

I have a 6.4 with 3" H- pipe triple pass 20" muffler 2.5" over the diff passed through inspection am told it has a good sound bit of grunt when you stand on it

Bingo. By clips on Youtube, the Walker Quiet Flow 21548 looks to be just what I am looking at for this specific car. Very mellow, but not stock quiet, and having a hint of rumble.

The sound I am going for:

I think I'll give these a try. I would have never thought about them given their name "quiet flow". Thanks a bunch .

That sound clip seems to be about what my car sounds like with the Walker Quiet Flow mufflers. Not loud, but still has some rumble to it.

I just looked up the recept for the mufflers I got.
They are Walker 22154 Quiet-Flow mufflers. Bought in January 2012. They are 25" long case, and 29" overall length. I think fitment was a Chrysler Imperial.
These seem to have been discontinued? No avaliability.
They are really too long for easy fitment. I would go with a case length around 20"

Quick search shows the #22393 is 2.5" in/out, and 19" case, 23" overall length 409 stainless steel, $89.99 from Summit Racing. Both the inlet and outlet are offset.
For offset inlet with center outlet look at #21856. I think this might be a closer replacement for the TTI exhaust super turbos? Summit shows $100.99

I bought a set of quiet Flow mufflers from Rock Auto to see what size the internal pass tubes were. My mustang drones terribly with super turbo mufflers. The Quiet Flow neck down considerably inslde. From a HP standpoint they would likely cost some power. If it is a cruiser then should make driving more pleasurable.

My vote is always Ma Mopar's Hemi mufflers. Good performance, good sound, no drone, and happy neighbors
