Ordered new rods and rod bearings but?

No hole on the big end of the rod or the bearings to oil the cylinder walls?
Oh well that's what a die grinder is for.

They quit putting those holes in them. New rods don't come with oilers either.

Don't touch them. None of the new bearings have the notches. Notches are not needed. Old school thinking. Theres more oil than it needs already.Why do you think there are new style Napier 2nd rings? To do a better job removing oil from the clylinder wall. The last thing you want is extra oil in the chamber.
