My son tells me chassis saver is pretty permanent.

I've used por 15 on a truck frame it works well.

I just took axle down to bare steel, epoxy primed, shot with some high build, sanded smooth, and then shot with semi-gloss black (SEM I think it was). At least my year wanted Semi-gloss for the "factory" look. I have used POR 15 in the past without issued, except it gets everywhere and is hard to clean up.

I have no experience with the magnet paint, but I used POR-15 on mine, and it worked well.
