I've got a 69 road runner that has mini-tubs and the springs moved into the frame rail, and when it was done the park brake cable stop was moved so a factory cable is too short on the driver's side :

There is basically no slack in that cable housing between there and the backing plate, so it's not as simple as measuring that little bit I need to stick through to get a clip on it.

In the factory position the stop is to the rear of the spring eye, so on my car the stop has been moved several inches toward the front of the car.

I need to figure out how far the stop has been moved so I can order a custom cable. I wondered, if anyone has a car on a rotisserie or otherwise accessible from the bottom, would you please measure from the cable stop back to the center of one of the holes the arrows are pointing to? If I know that I will be able to figure out how far the stop has been moved so I can get the cable length right on the first try.

Barring that I will just guess and say it's about yay inches too short ... but I'd like to be sure if possible.

Thanks,

It was pretty much exactly 3" difference between where my bracket is and where it should be.

I thought I could just get a longer cable, but if I do that I lose 3" of adjustment unless I get a shorter front cable. So I'm working up an extension bracket. My stupid welding mask isn't working so I couldn't finish it but this is the first prototype

I'm going to trim it up and add a gusset so it won't bend. It covers the spring eye bolt but since I can unbolt the bracket, that's OK.
