I'm looking to buy an aluminum 4bbl intake for a 318.
Okay. Check with Summit racing or Jegs.
Off my 340
I didn't post this for someone to be an ass and tell me to check with Summit or Jegs. I have looked there. Posted here to see if anyone had one used. Some folks can't help but be a dick I guess.
Two posts and you are going to tell me how to do things here? Really? Your request didn't list Used or New, you didn't list what you were willing to pay, you barely wrote anything. You either don't know brand names or are lazy about expressing what you want. Which one is it? What fits a 318 will also fit every other LA engine except the early 273. Maybe you didn't know? Some humility would help if you don't know. Also, you instantly respond like a real asshole to a guy that can be a great help or a huge pain in your ass. Guess which way this road is heading?
I'm not telling you how to do anything..Doesn't matter how many posts I have..You posted a stupid ass reply to my thread..It's simple, you didn't have an intake to sell. But wanted to be a smart ass. You could have scrolled by, but no you wanted to post dumb shit.
Quoted before you try to edit out your foolish response.
I have several to sell but an asshole such as yourself makes for a real shitty transaction...
You apparently live a very sad and humorless life. Mopars are not for you, try Fords or imports.
Im not going to edit anything. Do you think I'm too stupid to have googled intakes? I know that 340, 360 intakes will fit a 318? Dodge didn't even make a dedicated 4bbl intake for the 318. I posted what I was wanting to buy. I know brand names. I also know that a stock cast 360 Intake will not be as efficient on a 318 because of the difference in port sizes between the intake ports and head ports. That's why I posted that I wanted an aluminum intake. So no, not lazy, just figured folks with reading comprehension skills would be able to comprehend that I wanted an aluminum performance intake. Brand doesn't really matter as long as it's a 4bbl intake.
Yeah well I wouldn't buy shit from you considering your one line reply of "Okay, check Summit or Jegs" would have been just as simple to state that you had that I was looking for instead of being a dick. No I'll stick with Mopar. Talk about a sad life, I'm not the one that posted a dickbag reply to someone looking to buy a part. You must be a miserable bastard.
I am actually a very funny guy. I'm great in bed too...Ask your Mom.
lol funny..Thanks for informing me of your necrophilia. Like I said..Miserable bastard.
Nah....I like jokes. I despise inefficiency though, like poor spelling, improper sentence structure, poorly written requests, etc. Your listing should have been written better. You are not charged by the word here. A person with a sense of humor and humility would not have immediately felt attacked but instead paused and considered the possibility that a forum member was joking with you. Never thought of that, right? You instantly responded in defense like a sad, abused person usually does. THAT or a person that is just an arrogant jerk. A nice and reasonable person does not immediately respond with aggression.
Showing your lack of knowledge here. The Police spec Diplomat and Gran Fury from 1980-89 used a 318 with a 4 barrel carburetor. First they used the Carter ThermoQuad, then they switched to the Rochester Quadrajet when Carter Carburetion closed their doors. The 318 4 barrel engine used an iron intake manifold. The Edelbrock Performer 318-360 was essentially a stock replacement intake in aluminum since the port sizes of the 318 and 360 were similar. The chamber sizes of the heads were different but the intake ports were close in size. Educate yourself before coming here with single digit post counts and trying to play bad ass. You will only alienate yourself with arrogance here.
Well perhaps you could be a little more specific.... What year is your 318? Cause 67 & earlier 318 is a completely different deal than a 68 & newer 318..
Yeah, there is THAT too. I guess the guy thinks that WE should be the ones asking questions to help HIM out.
Mate if you're having trouble finding one used, and it's a 318 LA engine (as opposed to a 318 poly), then an Edelbrock Performer may be a good choice. Sometimes it's worth paying a bit more for a new one to avoid the hassle of buying used...
So ,when are the Mods going to delete all this BS, Lets calm down children ! or are we all adults' here ? Let the man do things his own way and he will learn. Same as we all have, if you ask for help ? "Most" are willing to teach and or suggest options. I showed him an intake off a 340 , if he wants it he can Pm. If not there are Many others in FBBO or FABO with them. Mahalo, C
A good option would be an old Edelbrock LD4B. Ports to match the LA 318 & 360, with much more runner volume. Might be hard to find. Those work.
