Plastic repair kit

Anyone use a plastic repair kit successfully on dash bezels or door panels. I have some repairs to make and may buy a better bezel that still needs a bit of work. Mostly repairing/re-creating broken tabs on bezel. This Eastwood kit caught my eye.

I have used two part liquid epoxy to repair dash bezels. In cases of broken off corners, I have made a mold using clay and an unbroken bezel. I then match up the clay mold to the broken bezel and fill with epoxy. If by tabs you are referring to the stand off posts, I wrap tape around the remaining stub in the shape of a cylinder, then pour epoxy in, cut/sand to the correct length, then drill and tap.

thanks. I forgot about a stand off post or 2 to fix in addition to a few tabs that mate with ajoining piece.. Good info!

I’ve used a product called Plast-Aid that works excellent on this type of plastic. You can get it on Ebay. The one thing that I do is to use a glass eye dropper to dispense the solvent as it’s easier to control the amount of solvent used.
