Poly 318 2bbl air cleaner 4bbl conversion

Here are a few pictures on how I converted the air cleaner to my recently converted 4bbl shop truck. I had a local exhaust shop cut a 1 foot piece of 5" ex pipe and flange it out slightly to just fit on the air horn of an AFB. Had them do both ends in case I screwed up the first time. Cut out the old section and welded in a 1" piece. Welded in the breather tube.

Sandblasted, primed and painted, plus a decal and it looks close to factory. I like the factory look.

Very cool! I like my poly air cleaner and am glad i can keep it now thanks for posting. I wouldn't have thought of doing this..
