Hi guys, I bit the bullet and I am about to order a Borgeson 14:1 power steering box. All of the videos I see online involve dropping the steering column. Is there any way I can do this without dropping the column? Going from manual to power steering.

No, the column must come out. Don't be afraid, it isn't outside of your skill level.
The steering box is sandwiched in between the column and the K member. You have to pull the column rearward to allow the steering box to also move back to come out.

Agree with Kern. You have to move it enough to detach the splines. Looks like your car was swapped from power to manual (Seeing the adapter.) So no steering shaft mods will be needed.
Those adapters go upwards of $125. Hang on to it !

Alright I appreciate the advice. Yes it was swapped from power to manual I have no idea why.

I always made my project cars manual, but I was a Hot Rodder back then.
I plan to put power in my 63 Belvedere soon.Going for comfort now-a-days.
Keep posting your trials and tribulations with the project.Mine is also a small block LA.

I wanted a 68-70 charger originally but I realized I could get a much better deal on a 68-72 roadrunner/satellite. Glad I picked it as ive come to like these b bodies a little bit more as cool as a 2nd gen charger is.
