power steering pressure hose

My 68 Coronet power steering pressure hose is 3/8 into the steering box , Rockauto sent me a 5/16, I even see some listed with a 1/4 feed into the box, why is mine 3/8 ? It's female cap is 5/8" same as the other end on the pump, the 5/16 feed line's cap is 9/16. Help?

Because you used Crockauto, that's why!! Just take the hose to NAPA, or your local Hydro shop and have them twist and kink you up a correct one? Good Luck
