Hey guys, I’m sure this has been asked before, but my searches have been very limited in what they turned up, so hoping someone can help.
Has anyone run 15x8s or 15x9s with low backspace on a 75-79 B? I’ve got a line on some vintage 15x8.5 Appliance Wire Mags that I think will go real well with a ‘79 300. My only problem is they only have 3.25” of backspace. Measurements say they MAY clear with 255/60s, but it’s going to be close, particular on the passenger front fender while turning.
Has anyone run something like this before? I know a bunch of the old slot mags had these kinds of deep dish, low offsets, but the only information I’ve been able to dig up is from earlier B-bodies, which have significantly smaller wheel wells from what I’ve seen.
My brother’s 71 Charger (pictured below) wears 15x8.5s up front with a 4” backspacing, but I haven’t seen one more aggressive than it so far:
