Protecting new paint during restoration

I will be getting my 67 GTX back from the body and paint shop soon. I’ve still got a fair amount of suspension and other work to perform and I’m looking for tips on keeping the body and paint well protected from accidents or otherwise while it is in my garage. I was thinking to wrap the whole car with clean new moving blankets or something along those lines. What have my fellow enthusiasts done in situations such as these? TIA in advance! GOBBLESS!
 
Is it already cut and polished? Mine wasn't and I was told to leave it uncovered and to wipe it down with a soaking wet towel from time to time as it helps knock any "nibs" off the clear. It also left my klear full thickness in case I did nick it and was cut and polished almost a year after paint was done.
 
I've done dozens of cars, mostly just be careful but if your working on a particularly risky job definitely blankets/towels/pads, I use allot of masking tape.. If the car was sanded well paint adhesion should not be an issue...

Suspension shouldn't be a problem, putting latches & window/mechanisms in the door & quarters I use a couple layers of tape...
 
Lots of wide masking tape in those areas where you'll be working on latches and so on.
 
Oh, a little trick... If your concerned about the paint adhesion, afraid it'll stay stuck to the tape instead of your car, before you apply the tape to the fresh paint stick it to your jeans... It'll kill off about 50% of the adhesive on the tape so it'll peel off your paint easier..
