Have to share a proud and humbling dad moment from Memorial Day. My son JT is a rising senior at West Point. Less than a year from now, he will be heading off into the Army.

On Monday, he had the opportunity to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on behalf of the organization I work for - Paralyzed Veterans of America. It was particularly powerful for me as a disabled veteran myself. It was a solemn reminder that he and his brothers and sisters in arms have demonstrated a willingness to make the same sacrifice in service to this great Nation.

That's a proud dad moment indeed
Thank your son in advance for his plans for future service.
And thank you as well, sir.

Thank you both for your service.

To anyone who has never seen the changing of the guard at the Memorial.
It is an experience I will never forget I assure you.

Videos posted online simply do NOT do it justice

Fantastic! Thank you to both of you for your service!

Congrats man! I saw a speaker once when my daughter was being inducted into the Daughters of the American Revolution. The speaker was a guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It was very interesting. The part I remember was all the work that went into their shoes to give them a mirror gloss!
