I had the Charger out yesterday. I put a couple of hundred miles on it. Went for a cruise, stopped at the pet store, stopped at CVS & stopped at the hardware store on the way home.

Great to hear you had her out. Any details on how it ran?

Crusin' the Coast 2017 Oct 1-8. I'm going to put a few hundred miles on my Roadrunner. A good bit of stop and go, the 3 finger McCleod is a little stiff for the left (old) knee..but I can hang. Grabs great when I dump it or slip it under throttle, so I can't complain too much.
As a side benefit, I'm using those miles to get a big part of the required break in on my A855 :) It should be installed by then.
Back to the O.P.
How was the trip? When I get to make a long, trouble free drive it subtracts a couple of decades off my mind.

It ran great. trip went trouble free. Stopped at one of the local parks for a drink & this is where I took the picture. I thought it looked good in the shade.

Nothing feels much better than stretching their legs, I try to drive mine several times a week and at least one long haul every year. It's everyday life for my kids to be escorted around in classic iron.

Congrats

My kids are used to it also. They hate when I drop them off or pick them up from school in it. They say they always have to answer too many questions from the other kids & teachers, LOL.

Just curious did you check your mpg?

Nope, I have never cared what the mileage is. Put $30.00 in it & with a 440 Sixpack & my right foot I was still able to get all day out of it.

About 270 on the Coronet overnight to Sacramento. (1)70k on the clock now. Yep, feels good to stretch their legs. Ice cold air, and ran like a champ. Just some bugs on the windshield, lots of thumbs up on the road. Romped home over the Altamont Pass. 2 hour ride home.

Congrats
Always fun to get the beasts out of the barn ever so often...

Mine is far from a show car, just a street beater mostly...

I made a few laps around my neighborhood,
1/2 hr-45 min.'s, 10-15 miles maybe
"putsing around", hardly get in 2nd gear mostly,
barely 3rd on the main drag 35mph supposed to be anyway,
all the little kids love it, run along side me, makes me a bit nervous,
the adults give me the thumbs up,
even all the chp's, sheriffs, game warden & LEO's
that all live in my little community...

No. It was bigger & better when it was at Vin Devers. Tom Devers owns Tom Hoovers 66 coronet. The Ram Chargers came to the show a few times. Ralph Ronzello brought his 64 Plymouth NASCAR track car. Steve Atwell drove his 68 SS DART to the show. That stuff don't happen anymore.

Yes, it was Vin Devers back when I went.
