Question about 3rd member and axle gaskets?

On the 3rd member to housing gasket, any recommendations to use any sort of gasket sealing compound? Same thing for the axle gaskets, the innter is metal( i am guessing no since it looks like a crush type gasket), the outer is regular gasket material.

Advice to make sure i do this properly would be appreciated!

on axles,no sealant.on 3rd member use a good quality felpro gaket or use "the right stuff" sealant.just make sure everything is very clean for assembly.

I have used the right stuff on axles and had no problems.

I tore one once and just used a bead of rtv, didn't leak.
