Question on 70 super bee air cleaner asm.

I was wondering what the difference is between the non cold air filter housing and the cold air on the air filter base and lid? I've noticed that one of them has a shield on it and the other doesn't. Other than the shield is there any other differences in the two?

the shielded one (cold air intake) was to help prevent rainwater from getting into the filter element, IIRC.

What engine? 383 had different housings than 6 BBL and Hemis...

BTW: The Cold Air Intake used the NOT-shielded one.
