radiator Trans cooler plugs

Hello again, I was checking my radiator and it does not has the plugs for the trans cooler lines but I do have a small trans cooler with the lines going to the transmission which is not connected to anything, the lines go to the front of the radiator and are connected only to the small cooler. It was my idea that the cooler should go through the radiator or there is something I do not know.
It is a 22" wide radiator in my 69 charger. What am I missing here?

You are missing the hot coolant heating up your trans fluid. You have it right. The hotter your trans fluid temp, the shorter your trans life.
