I'm converting to radio delete. But, have to remove the antenne as well (duh). Is there a special cap to close the antenna-hole? And if so...who has a spare?

    Thanks!

I have seen ones for 68 and later but nothing for early b bodies...Some of these were done at the dealer and they drilled there own holes in the fender...I welded up the whole in my 67 GTX before new paint...Sounds like you may have to be creative on this one...Maybe just a chrome push in cap? Thanks for the cool early b boy links!!!!!

Don't know about the button but I usually just weld in a hole saw remnant and do a bit of body work so it disappears completely.

I think he really does,nt want to weld the hole on his fender...The paint looks good now...The chrome button is like a chrome plug for weld wheels...just bigger..

That is correct. I don't want to mess up the paintjob and just want to close the hole.

A chrome plug is probably the easiest...Measure the hole..

Did the radio delete cars come with a hole in the fender in the early B's ?
I have purchased 2 NOS fenders for a 67 and a 68 Dart with no hole in the fender for the antenna.

The true radio delete cars had no hole in the fender.

The NOS replacement fenders for these years never had the hole- the bodyman would cut it in if he needed to.

Hm...I will ask my bodyman if it's a huge thing to do to close the hole. It's a recent paintjob (say like 5 years old or so) and a pretty modern color (Viper Red).

A friend runs his 63 Sport Fury Max Wedge car as a "radio delete" car, and uses a black floor plug in the hole. Helps his car is black too.
