Can anyone tell me the exact shade of black that a 69 Coronet R/T ramcharger should be?
Man, where do I find that color? It's not black.. it's Dark Brown... Walnut..
My problem is it is actually orange , obviously the system is not original. Where did you find your dark walnut paint?Get it off the hood for rebuild and paint and then have a shop colour match it (the interior that's not faded) with their "camera" for you or just take a shot at it like I did and use some Dark Walnut paint.
Apparently someone put a 70 orange unit on my 69. Any ideas how to get it painted the right color? My original 1970 Coronet R/T Ramcharger stuff was made in orange. Lotsa pix on the web.
Moulded originally.. same as the heater box.Cool. Are they moulded that colour or painted that colour?
I never thought of the similarity to the heater box, but you’re right. It’s not really fiberglass, and not really plastic. I was going to restore mine myself, until I realized it was beyond my ability. I ended up sending it to a guy in the ‘states that restores them. Can’t wait to get it back. Gonna hang it on the wall as art until the car is done.Moulded originally.. same as the heater box.
Can you get me the contact information for the restorer in the states, please?I never thought of the similarity to the heater box, but you’re right.
